William "Bill" Davis Mitchell

Mr. Mitchell will lie in state beginning on Wednesday, May 24 through Thursday, May 25 and the family visitation will begin on Thursday from 5-7 PM

William “Bill” Davis Mitchell passed away on May 21st, 2023 in Glenpool, Oklahoma. He got married to his lovely wife, Helen, in 1963. He worked as a diesel mechanic until he retired with Rainbo Bread. He was born on August 4th, 1934 in Glenpool, Oklahoma. He is the son of Davis Henry and Ethel May Mitchell. He is the oldest sibling of two younger sisters.

He loved to play bingo at the senior community center. He also liked to sit back and watch the Grand Ole Opry. He enjoyed working on cars for family members, camping, and just being with family.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Davis Henry and Ethel May Mitchell, two sisters, Lena Leffler and Linda Mitchell, son Raymond Mitchell and his wife, Lisa. Daughter Judy Mitchell, granddaughter Brandi, and great grandson Andrew Mitchell.

Survivors include 6 sons. William (Rusty) Mitchell and wife, Sharon of San Tan Valley, Arizona. Dennis Mitchell and Teresa McCoy of Sapulpa Oklahoma, Jack Mitchell and wife Teresa of Wagoner, Oklahoma. Michael (Mike) Mitchell of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Two stepsons, Mike Louderback and wife Francis of Moore, Oklahoma. Don Louderback of Mustang, Oklahoma. One daughter, Lou Ann Lehman and husband Michael of Benton, Arkansas, stepdaughter, Shirley Watashe of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Bill has 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

The visitations will be at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa on May 24th, 2023 from 12pm-4pm and May 25th, 2023 from 9am-4pm.

The chapel service will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on May 26th, 2023, at 1 pm with Reverend Gary Brown officiating the service. After the service, everyone is invited to follow us to the Bixby Memorial Cemetery for interment.
