William Frank Hastreiter (Bill) was born February 17, 1954, in Rochester, New York. He is the son of Harold and Elizabeth Hastreiter who preceded him in death.
He is survived by Paula Kathy Hastreiter and Gunner, their precious cat, of the home in Houston, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Gretchen Brosch, Irving, TX, nieces: Shawna Hughes, Jennifer Long, Erin McKee, Jessica Green, and Miracle Woods, nephews: Legend Brumley (deceased) and Adam Brosch, along with a host of great nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
Bill worked as a Global Risk Manager throughout his career with various oil and gas companies. His work took him around the world, with Paula joining most of the trips. He retired in September 2021 from Total Safety US, Inc., Houston, TX.
Bill enjoyed fly fishing and was an avid runner in both high school and college. He competed in many races, including the Tulsa Run, winning numerous medals and ribbons. He enjoyed snow skiing, hockey, football, and golf throughout his youth and adulthood. Bill received a track scholarship and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University, Nacogdoches, TX. Bill navigated his new, large extended family, jumping in with both feet. He led, with love, in supporting nieces and nephews by helping them to make good choices for their lives. His love was always evident with his family, and we will greatly miss him. I love you more! We miss you already.
Ephesians 5:20: Giving thanks always and for everything to God, the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
