William Dean Lee, of Okmulgee, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the age of 67.

Dean was born June 6, 1953 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Everett and Shirley (Crawford) Lee. He was the third of six children to Everett and Shirley. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Shirl Thomas, of Kansas. Dean was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma. It was in Sapulpa that he met Janice, whom he married in 1973. For 47 years, they had lived life together in marriage. Dean is survived by his wife Janice; Son, Bill Lee and wife Jeni of Sapulpa; 3 grandson’s (Jersey, Canyon and Rowdy).

During his life, Dean worked in the oilfields as a serviceman, welder and business owner. He enjoyed using his hands whether it be at work or by constantly working on projects around the house. He stayed busy and outside as much as possible and enjoyed spending that time with Janice. He loved to keep an eye on the wildlife around the house. He would plant, feed and set up cameras so he could see what was coming around for a visit.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Ashford, Gavino Morris, Randy Goodman, Chuck Henry, Calahan Henry, Trey Collins and Tucker Collins.

The family would like to invite you to join in his life story. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday January 27th starting at 1 pm at Smith’s funeral home located at 1208 S. Main St in Sapulpa. There will be a meal served after the memorial service, which will be located at 225 N Sahoma Lake Road in Sapulpa. The family would like for you to join them after the service to spend some time telling stories about Dean.
