We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Smith Family Funeral Homes
On January 30, 1956, a feisty young man by the name of Tommy Darrell Freeman came into the world. He was born to Annie Creech Mainer and Raymond Bob Freeman in Detroit, MI. Tommy attended grade school in Detroit. As a teenager, Tommy and his older brother Ray moved to Sapulpa, OK., where he attended McLain Senior High. He received Vocational training as a mechanic, which became his love and passion. He loved cars. Tommy was a man of love and left an impression on everyone he met. He never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his parents Annie and Raymond Freeman and his older brother Raymond Jr. He leaves to continue his legacy his six beautiful children. LaTice Freeman, Mantrell Lee, Terron Galloway, Modra Henderson, Senora Tolbert, and Steffon McCowan. A host of grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. His beloved Gibbs/Knox family, as well as his ‘The guys at the Shop’ family. Tommy thought of himself as THE WARRIOR, and that is the memory he would want to be remembered by, as he TRULY was a WARRIOR. Tommy earned his WARRIOR WINGS on September 19, 2021 and took his seat in heaven beside his parents and his brother. Tommy will be greatly missed, but forever loved.
