Thomas Allen Walker, age 67, died of Lewy Body dementia (LBD) on Monday June 22, 2020 at St. Francis hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tom was born in Henryetta, OK in February 1953. He graduated from Silex High School in 1971 in Missouri. After graduation, he went straight to work. Tom worked many types of jobs in manufacturing and construction. He also worked as a security guard when he lived in Hawaii for a year. Tom was a life-long Kansas City Chiefs fan. So much of one, he named our little Chihuahua "Chief". They were best buddies. Tom was very excited to see the Chief’s win the Super Bowl this year. Tom is survived by his wife Tonia Walker, his brothers Roy, Michael and Troy Walker along with his many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Charles Ray Walker and Shirley Ann Walker, both of Kellyville, OK. Tom married Tonia on November 25, 1994 in Tulsa, OK. They resided in the Sapulpa/Kellyville area after they married and moved to Sand Springs in the summer of 1999. Tom will be cremated by Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa. A non-traditional going home memorial service is planned for July 25, 2020 at 11 AM. Tom’s family and friends will gather at Okmulgee Lake Red Oak Point at the Big Rock Shelter where his brother, Troy Dean Walker, will lead the service. We’d like for everyone to feel free to share their favorite memory of Tom during the service. Afterwards, we plan to share a picnic style meal with hot dogs and burgers. We ask that everyone bring their favorite picnic foods and drinks. Please bring a lawn chair along with you.
