Obituary

Papaw Raymond Harjo, 83 of Mounds went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2021.  He was born on July 9, 1937 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Charlie & Velma Harjo.  He worked for Safeway for 17 years as a diesel mechanic.  He was a member of Snake Creek Indian church.  He loved living in the country and riding his lawn mower to see his good friend, Don.

He is survived by his children, Shelly Harjo Davis and James of Glenpool, Ok, Larry (Bubba) Lee Cravatt Jr & Leslie of Oklahoma City, Ok, Brian Harjo & Bekah of Beggs, OK.

Grandchildren, Feather, Rayleen, and John “Big Boy” Cravatt, as well as Sheridan Harjo.

Great grandchildren, Makenna, Davies, Melanie and Isabelle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Velma Harjo and sister Abby Harjo along with a loving wife, Leona Walkingstick Harjo.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Green Hill Cemetery with final resting place at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  Service arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main Street, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
