Margaret Marie Stover (Olson), born April 23, 1932, to Charles Hensel and Margaret Olson, passed from this life on February 20, 2023 at the age of 90. She was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in the vicinity. After high school she worked at the historic Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood, Oregon.
On April 29, 1953 she was married to Robert Milton Stover and to this union, four beautiful children were born. Bob and Margaret purchased a peach farm in Dinuba, California and Margaret was diligent to help with the many chores of caring for the farm. She was very industrious and hard-working, processing and boxing peaches when they were harvested, along with growing a vegetable garden, canning the produce and caring for her home and family. After several years, they sold the farm and moved to Oklahoma to work in the aviation industry and to be nearer to Bob’s parents. Margaret began a business making draperies and was successful in creating beautiful window coverings. Margaret loved the Lord and was very honest in all her dealings. The Lord honored that and gave her a long, healthy life.
Margaret loved being with her family, traveling, gardening and growing beautiful irises and roses. She would take lovely, colorful arrangements of her irises to the church for everyone to enjoy. She had a great zest for life and always said, “age is just a number” and “you’ve got to keep moving”! She loved working in her yard and was still mowing, weeding and tending to her flowers at age 90.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother (Bill Olson) and one sister Elnora Hamilton,
She is survived by her children Michael (Kay) Stover, Pamela (David) Marler, Donna (Ed) Gentry, Robert (Toni) Stover, one brother, Charles (Chuck) Olson, as well as beloved grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews.
