Obituary

Larry Dale Gregory, 67, of Sapulpa went up to the spirit in the sky on September 9, 2020 after a brief illness.  Larry Dale was born December 17, 1952 in Wichita, Ks to Eugene and Nadine Gregory. After graduating from Sapulpa High School, He then joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

In 1981, Larry married the love of his life, Mary Susan Conway and they enjoyed 38 years together as best friends and soulmates.

Larry Dale loved his God and he loved his country. He lived his life in service to God and to others with Jesus always by his side. His immeasurable faith in His Father and his fellow man was evident in his actions daily as he was always a blessing to others, to all that knew him and even to those that did not.

Larry Dale leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Susan and their beloved pet, Chloe, of the home, His Mother, Nadine Contreras of Sapulpa and his mother in law, Betty Conway of Sapulpa.

His Brother, Kenneth Gregory

His Sisters, Donna Cole and husband Ed, Vera White and husband Jim, Lisa Kraft and husband Dan, and Emma Sherry.

The Conway family, Michael, Alexia(Lexi), Kathy and Pat as well as a host of other relatives, many cousins and countless friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Gregory and brothers David and Terry Gregory. His stepfather, Dale Wortman and brothers Dale Allen and Jimmy Wortman and sister Elaine (Wortman) Bristow.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all his nephews and nieces who were very special to him: Russell Wortman, James Wortman, Jason Smith, Jo Dawn Harris, Richard Sandell, David White, Savannah Sherry and Sophiah Swift.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
