Kenneth Tucker

Kenneth Joe Tucker, 92, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2022. Ken was born May 11, 1929, in Byars, Oklahoma, to William and Nellie (Brown) Tucker.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948 in WWII and from 1950-1952 in Korea. He was awarded a WWII Victory medal, Army of Occupation medal (Japan), Korean Service medal with one bronze star, a combat infantry badge, and a UN service medal.
Ken survived being a prisoner of war.

Following his military service, he worked in many fields: heavy equipment operator, over-the-road truck driver, journeyman machinist, Jack of all trades and master of many.

On December 18, 1964, he married the love of his life, Dixie Reasoner. During the 57 years of their marriage, they moved many times as they raised their four children.

Ken was a member of Blue Bell Free Will Baptist Church for several years, where he served as a Sunday School superintendent and a door greeter.

He enjoyed many things through the years including horse trail riding and driving his mule team, woodworking, watching sports and attending softball games of local teams.

Ken is survived by his loving wife Dixie; children Phyllis Bushman (and Tom), Larry Tucker (and Fern), Kenny Tucker (and Lisa) all of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Valla Martin (and Randy) of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren Brian, Michelle, Joy, Jason, Brandy, David and Dustin; 21 great grandchildren and one on the way; and four great-great grandchildren; brothers Wilford and Ed, sister Linda, several nieces and nephews, and Ken's long time friend Udell Butler.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Nellie, and sister Lona.
