Obituary

Judy Alane Sanders of Claremore, went to be with the Lord on September 19th, 2022 after an 11 day stay in the hospital. She was surrounded by her family.
Judy was born on February 17th, 1947 in Claremore, OK to Silas and Alice Patton. Judy shared her birthdays with her twin sister Jane. She graduated from Claremore High School and attended Business Classes after high school. Judy was employed as a receptionist and retired from the Claremore Indian Hospital Diabetic Clinic.
She met and married Nyle Kenneth Sanders (Sam to his family). They were married for 35 years. They did not have children of their own, but Judy remembered each of her brother’s, sister’s, niece’s, or nephew’s specific birthdate, and could tell you the month that each great-niece or great-nephew was born.
Judy enjoyed shopping for clothing and shoes, going to church, and watching movies that she had collected over the years. She was fashionable, beautiful and loved the Lord. After attending Dove Ministry in Jenks for several years, Judy decided to make the move in 2009 to Sapulpa so that she could be part of the church family. She sought the Word each day and yearned to understand all she could.
She is survived by her sister Frances Sappington of Claremore, Jane Stamps and her husband David Stamps of Pryor and her Sister-In-Law Joyce Patton. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Ledina Nicholson, Allan Sappington and his with Linda, Lawrence Sappington and his wife Kelly, Brenda Olwin and her husband Kris all of Claremore OK, Tisha Chupp of Pryor, Chris Patton and his wife Pam of Galena, KS, Mickey Patton and Joni Stiffler Meier and her husband William Meier of Montgomery, TX. Along with her 17 great-nieces and nephews there are also numerous great-greats as well. Judy was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
