Johnny Leland Dicus, passed away on Thursday April 13, 2023, at St Francis hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Johnny was born and raised in Dustin, Ok. He was very proud to serve our country in the United States Army in the Vietnam war. He married the love of his life, Wilma Boyer Dicus, and they were married for 60 years. Together, they raised two sons, Curt and Denny. He worked for southwestern Bell and retired after 25 plus years of employment. He was an active member in his church and never liked to miss a service. When you saw Johnny, you were always greeted with a handshake or a hug. He had the biggest heart and was always ready to help someone in need. He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. Johnny will be missed by many and will be remembered for his big smile and willingness to help others.
Johnny is preceded in death by his wife Wilma Dicus and his sons Curtis Dicus and Dennis Dicus.
He is survived by his grandchildren Shawna Dicus of Sand springs, Ok. Devon Banks and wife Brittney Banks of Sand springs, Ok. Great grandchildren Jaycee Banks, Zayne Banks, Jaiden Dicus, Janelle Comeaux, Paizley Campbell, and Paxton Dicus.
Johnny will be greatly missed. He was a sweet and kindhearted man. We celebrate knowing that he is rejoicing in heaven with his Heavenly Father and family.
A visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home Wednesday April 19, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Services will be held at Sapulpa First Church of God, 1011 E Hastain Ave, Sapulpa, Ok on Thursday April 20, 2023, at 2:00 pm
Directly following services, Johnny will be laid to rest at Greenhill Cemetery, Sapulpa, Ok.
