Harold H. Butcher passed away peacefully in his home on April 15th, 2023 at the age of 92.
Harold is preceded by his parents, Earl and Ida Butcher; his 10 siblings, Tina, Bea, Paul, Ernie, J.D., Stella, Ella, Luetta, Earl Jr, and Don; his daughter, Susie; and his grandson, Robert Scott Aduddel.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Butcher; his daughters, Shelly Butcher and Theresa Riley, his sons, Randy Jones and Sandy Ray Jones; his grandchildren, Dale and Amy Sullivan, Misti Sullivan, Derrick Mathes, Raquel Makis, Jimmy Texiera, Kristy Waits, Randy Jr. Jones, Jimmy Jones, and Nicholas Jones; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Harold was born on September 16, 1930 in Boynton, Oklahoma. He graduated from Charles Page High School, enlisted in the Army at 17 and served in Guam and Tokyo, and spent over 30 years at Sheffield Steel, where he retired. He spent over 50 years in the Masonic Lodge and was the Chaplain. In 1972, he married the love of his life, Irene Butcher and they spent their lives in Sand Springs. He spent his time fishing, gardening, playing dominos, and playing with dogs. He was a part of the Shriners and the Scottish Rite. He was happiest spending time with family and his dog, Midnight.
Harold’s service will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa on Friday, the 21st at 1:00 p.m.. Viewing for family is Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and for friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.. Pastor Rick Cope will officiate. Flowers and Condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
