The world got a lot brighter on July 30, 1948 when Eddie Don Green was born. He was the youngest of Glenn and Elsie Green’s five children and was raised in Mounds, Oklahoma.
While attending Mounds High School Eddie held a job at the local grocery store. This was where he met the girl who would become his wife of 52 years, Debbie. They both graduated high school in 1966 and were married the next summer.
Eddie turned 21 in 1970 and joined the Tulsa Fire Department, a career he would have for the next 35 years. In addition to the Fire Department he also held jobs at Sears and Overhead Door. In what time he had left over he also did every odd job that came his way. To say he was a hard working man is an understatement.
Shortly after joining the Fire Department Eddie and Debbie welcomed their first daughter Melissa. Less than two years later they welcomed their second daughter Teressa. He spent the rest of his days as a devoted Husband and Father.
Eddie loved hunting and fishing. Even if he came home empty handed he still enjoyed his time in the woods or on the water. Even when he was unable to actively hunt he started feeding the deer in the woods behind their house. He was always excited to tell people how many he saw out there. He loved his house in the woods. He enjoyed going to the Casino, fishing and hunting with his brother Ronnie. And he adored his beloved dogs, Nikki and Sam.
The world got a bit dimmer and Heaven a lot brighter on March 13, 2020 when Eddie left this earth.
