Charles Rex Ballard 59, of Sapulpa went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2021 at his home.
Charles Rex was born July 16, 1961 in Sapulpa to Charles G and Elizabeth Ballard. He went to Sapulpa High School. He worked at the 61-year-old family business of which he was the manager and barber for 34 years.
Charles and his wife Kyla had known each other since they were young and were married for 21 years.
Rex was involved in many motorcycle activities. He belonged to the Black and White Nation, Brothers Forgiven, OK COC CU Eastern Liaison, Christian Unity Pray for our Nation and he was initially a member of Covenant Motorcycle Ministry. He ministered at Lifegate Freedom Recovery Ministries as well as the Creek County jail and held a Monday morning discipleship prayer meeting for men at the barbershop.
He enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, fellowshipping with his motorcycle family and ministering to everyone he came across. He never met a stranger.
Rex is survived by his wife, Kyla, son, Corey Ballard and wife Ashley, son, Calvin Creason and Kristen, daughter, Cort Lynn Clark. His father, Charles G Ballard, his grandchildren Emalyn Ballard, Emerson Ballard and Adonijah Clark, Uncle Jim Fredrick and wife Linda and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ballard.
Arrangements will be handled by Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, OK.
